Yes. The app is free to download and use, and the web Planner runs right in your browser with nothing to install. You can plan a couple of trips as a guest; a free account keeps them saved and in sync on every device you sign into.
All three, in one app. Pick your vehicle and the whole plan is built around it: fuel spaced to a safe slice of your tank on a bike, longer days in a car or van, and real charging stations in EV mode. Switch any time — each trip remembers what it was planned for.
No, and that's on purpose. RoadTripp plans; Google Maps drives. One tap sends a whole day — every stop, in order — to Google Maps. A day with more stops than Maps can handle is parted into legs before it goes over, and you can export any day as a GPX track for a dedicated GPS unit.
Only when you ask it to, and only while the app is open: to fill in your starting point, to find what's near you on the Nearby tab, and to keep track of which leg of the day you're on. Never in the background, and you can plan an entire trip without granting it.
No — you can plan without one. Sign in with email or Google and your trips are saved to the cloud, ready on every device you use, and you can share any plan with a link.
Yes. Every plan has a share link that opens in any browser, no app needed, showing the full day-by-day route with every stop. Everyone sees the same plan.
Real places with real ratings, filtered to what's actually open — anything temporarily or permanently closed never gets suggested. You set the bar: a minimum restaurant rating, the fuel brands you trust, and the kind of place you like to sleep. Epic Trips go further, with stops hand-picked by name.
